Vertigo store/NYC
Vertigo’s flagship store – a French international brand, located at the corner of 60th Street near the New York elite-brands stores on the prestigious Madison Avenue. The client’s desire was to make it possible to implement the classic-French aroma of the 1940s, and to incorporate it in New York City, which is constantly renewed and evolving in the styles and daring of modern, clean and contemporary design, and allow a suitable combination that will not harm the uniqueness of the brand. The design of the store is characterized by an eclectic style – a combination of a romantic French-Parisian style with classic architectural motifs of cornices, and Corinthian-style pole heads. Crystal chandeliers, antique furniture, walls covered with original wallpapers from the 1940s, but at the same time brick walls and carpentry in a very clean, simple and minimalist line, and a Brazilian mahogany floor. The store is built in three main parts: the entrance space, which includes the payment and display counter. In addition, a central space that includes a patio that is illuminated in natural light by two restored, 100-year-old skylight windows, with walls that were stripped and exposed with original brick walls. To these is added the patio area, used for sitting, freshening up and relaxing, using an element of water from a fountain dismantled and imported from Europe, flora, and a drinks bar. The third space is used to display the ware, and dressing rooms of the store
